Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first quarter of 2024, the net profit of Agrobank decreased to 33.7 billion soums, which is 48.6% less than in the same period of last year.

The bank’s assets in January-March 2024 increased by 22.2% compared to the same period in 2023 and reached 69.9 trillion soums.

The bank’s capital by the end of the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 12 trillion soums, which is 27.5% higher than in the first quarter of 2023.

Interest income of Agrobank increased to 3.1 trillion soums (+36.6%), while non-interest income decreased to 970.5 billion soums (-14.6%).

According to the Central Bank, the bank’s loan portfolio increased by 8.0 trillion soums over the year and reached 55.7 trillion soums by the end of the first quarter. The share of non-performing loans (NPL) increased from 3.7% to 4.0%.
