Agrobank provides 541bn soums to small businesses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Open joint stock commercial bank Agrobank issued loans for 541 billion soums of small businesses in eleven months of 2013 within the state programme of the Year of Well-being and Prosperity.
According to the press service of the bank, it allocated 10.9 billion soums to expansion of family business. It helped to create 1,635 new jobs.
Agrobank issued 162.1 billion of loans to support business plans of individuals and improve their life standards.
Besides, the bank issued 31.2 billion soums to development of agriculture production and 17.4 billion soums to development of poultry, fishing and beekeeping.
The Uzbek bank said that it issued 89.8 billion soums of consumer loans, of which 74.5 billion soums were directed to purchase of home appliances. Agrobank also issued 15.2 billion soums of educational loans.
To purchase houses, the bank issued 8 billion soums and mortgage loans for 4.1 billion soums. It also allocated 17.5 billion soums to construction of houses on standard projects in rural areas.
