Agrobank allocates 212.8bn soums of loans to small businesses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Open joint stock commercial bank "Agrobank" issued 212.8 billion soums in the first half of 2012 to finance small businesses of Uzbekistan, the bank’s press service said.
According to the bank, the loans helped to create over 20,400 new jobs across the country.
The bank allocated 13 billion soums to finance service sector of Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
Agrobank said that it is financing construction of five many-storied houses in Namangan and Urgench and it issued 13.1 billion soums to this purpose. Four houses in Namangan were fully constructed and one house is under construction in Urgench.
Agrobank also issued 3.4 billion soums to support family entrepreneurship and handicraft in Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
The bank provided loans for 2.6 billion soums to help college graduates to open their own businesses, Agrobank said.
