Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the 27th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech in Shaanxi province (North-West China) contracts were concluded for the implementation of investment projects and transactions for 110 billion yuan or about US$16.5 billion, the organizers announced.

The 27th China Yangling Agricultural Hi was held from 22 to 26 October on the territory of the High and New Agricultural Technology Showcase in Yangling district.

The exhibition, which presented more than 9 thousand of the latest scientific and technical achievements in the field of agriculture in China and foreign countries, attracted the attention of representatives of more than 50 countries and regions of the world. The event was attended by over 1.5 million people, including online.

About 2 thousand stands were placed in six exhibition halls. In addition, more than 6 thousand enterprises presented their achievements online.

During the fair, a training and demonstration base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for the exchange of agricultural technologies was officially established. The 5th meeting of ministers of the SCO member states on agriculture and a round table meeting on the development of modern agriculture in the countries of the organization were also held.

The fair, with the assistance of the Chinese Internet giant Alibaba, created an online platform that was visited and viewed 98.66 million times, and the total volume of transactions carried out through the platform totaled 513 million yuan.

The Yangling Fair, established in 1994, is one of the largest and most influential agricultural high technology events in China.
