ADB allocates US$93 million for human capital development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Musayev met with members of the delegation led by the head of the human resource development sector of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Ayako Inagaki.

During the meeting, issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of human capital development in our country and the implementation of new initiatives in the future were discussed.

Opinions were also expressed on the implementation of the agreement between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank in the amount of US$93 million under the “Skills Development for a Modern Economy” project.

It is worth saying that this project is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of industries in Uzbekistan, promoting inclusive growth through vocational training for youth and the unemployed population.

This project will contribute to the development of human resources as a skilled workforce in sectors such as construction, textile and clothing, information and communication technology, agribusiness and food processing, machine and equipment services.
