ACL: Nasaf fails to progress to play-offs, Lokomotiv loses in Iran
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Two Uzbek clubs played their last matches in the group stage of the AFC Champions League.
Nasaf Karshi played against Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in Group D and needed to win to progress to play-offs of the tournament.
Nasaf also should hope that Al Ahli of the UAE will lose to Tractorsozi of Iran if the Uzbek club clinches only one point from the match against Saudi club.
Nasaf played a goalless draw against Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Al Ahli of the UAE beat Iranian club with the score 3-2. In the result, Nasaf failed to advance to next round.
In Group C, Lokomotiv Tashkent played against Foolad of Iran. Both teams lost chances to advance to next round as Al Hilal and Al Sadd already booked their plays in play-offs of the tournament.
The match between Lokomotiv and Foolad ended with a 1-0 victory of Iranian side. The only goal of the match was netted on 89 minutes.
