Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan” was organized in Ankara, in which the Uzcharmsanoat association and related enterprises took part with a common stand.
More than 100 samples of leather, footwear, leather goods, fur and wool products from more than 20 Uzbek companies were presented at the exhibition.
In addition, Turkish raw materials and chemical products that replace imports were presented at the exhibition.
During the exhibition, the acting chairman of the Association, Akbar Sultanov, met with the head of the Turkish company Gerede Jelatin to discuss the issue of producing gelatin products with a Halal certificate in Uzbekistan. The Turkish company expressed its readiness to assist local enterprises in this matter.
The international investment company Arastu is interested in creating mono-centers for training in Uzbekistan. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, People’s Bank, Arastu company and the Uzcharmsanoat association.
It is planned to create mono-centers in several cities of Uzbekistan, where training of Uzbek specialists will be carried out with the involvement of Turkish experts. The company also plans to begin shoe production in Uzbekistan with the goal of producing 100 thousand pairs of high-quality shoes by the end of 2024. This initiative will contribute to the training of 5 thousand specialists per year and the production of 5 million pairs of shoes in Uzbekistan.
