Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The government will allocate 30 billion soums of subsidies to reduce prices for air tickets to Urgench and other cities of Uzbekistan.
This was announced during a meeting on priority tasks of socio-economic development of the Khorezm region.
It was noted that it is necessary to improve transport infrastructure in order to improve the quality of services.
In connection with this, a subsidy in the amount of 30 billion soums will be allocated to reduce prices for air tickets to Urgench and other cities of Uzbekistan.
Flights will be launched from Urgench to Termez, Ferghana Valley regions, Samarkand, Bukhara, St. Petersburg, Madrid, Frankfurt, Beijing and Urumqi.
The travel time of the Urgench-Khiva trolleybus will be reduced by 2 times, and the movement of electric buses from Urgench to Khiva and Khanka will be organized.
The importance of attracting a private partner to the management and modernization of Urgench airport was emphasized.
