About 1,870 cases of currency legislation violations revealed in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Some 1,869 cases of violations, related to illegal movement of currency for 1.686 billion soums, were revealed in Uzbekistan during the past period of 2010.
The press-service of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said the customs officials at Yallama customs post in Tashkent region detained citizen of Bukhara region Feruza M. She wanted to cross the border with US$2,900.
Citizen of Russia Olga Sh. was arrested with the same amount of money. She was detained during the customs control of passengers of Tashkent-Saint Petersburg flight. She did not declared money.
During examination of citizen at the S.Nadjimov customs post in Tashkent region, the officers arrested citizen of Uzbekistan Nurali K. He hid US$7,400 under his closes.
Investigations are underway in above-mentioned cases.
