The figure was announced after meeting of the central committee for the organization of the Hajj, headed by the Emir of the administrative district of Mecca, advisor to the King Khalid al-Faisal.
Khalid al-Faisal noted that 1.535 million pilgrims will arrive in Saudi Arabia from abroad and 185,000 people from provinces of Saudi Arabia. He added that some 100,000 pilgrims already arrived in Saudi Arabia.
This year, pilgrimage to holy sights of Mecca will start on 20 September. Last year, over 2 million people performed Hajj pilgrimage. It is expected that 5,200 people from Uzbekistan to make Hajj pilgrimage in 2015.
