Abdumalik Khalokov Wins Gold at World Boxing Championships in Liverpool

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdumalik Khalokov secured the gold medal in the 60 kg weight category at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool. In the final bout, the Uzbek boxer faced Brazil’s Luiz Oliveira.

From the opening seconds, Oliveira pressed forward, but Khalokov countered effectively with precise shots. The first round ended in a dominant 5–0 win for the Uzbek. In the second round, both fighters traded punches before adopting a more cautious strategy. Midway through, Khalokov landed a series of clean shots, and in the closing moments Oliveira suffered an injury, forcing the fight to be stopped.

With this victory, Abdumalik Khalokov claimed his second world championship title. Uzbekistan’s national team now boasts five gold and three bronze medals at the Liverpool tournament.
