Abdumalik Djumanov became the second Rector of WIUT. Earlier he worked at the university and led the Faculty as Dean from 2005 and then in May 2010 he moved to the Presidential Office of Uzbekistan.

Djumanov replaced at this post Abdujabar Abduvahitov, who was appointed as rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
