Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdukodir Khusanov has completed all medical tests and officially joined Manchester City.
According to information released on Saturday, the central defender of Uzbekistan’s national team flew from Paris to Manchester on a private plane on Thursday evening, where he underwent medical checks and met with the press.
The transfer between Manchester City and French club Lens was completed for a fee of €40 million, with potential bonuses. The 20-year-old player signed a 4.5-year contract with an option to extend for another 12 months.
Photos of Khusanov in his new Manchester City kit, wearing number 45, have already appeared on social media.
In the photos, he is seen next to Manchester City’s Director of Football Operations, Txiki Begiristain, and his representative. Pep Guardiola also posed for a photo with the club’s new signing.
