Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team and CSKA Moscow midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullaev is reportedly close to joining Turkish Süper Lig club Istanbul Başakşehir, according to Championat Asia.

Sources indicate that the Turkish side is ready to pay €7.5 million plus bonuses for the 21-year-old talent, and is willing to fully cover the transfer fee. Negotiations between the clubs are said to be at an advanced stage.

Fayzullaev had an impressive season with CSKA, making 39 appearances across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 8 assists, solidifying his status as one of the team’s most promising players.

This potential move follows the recent transfer of Eldor Shomurodov, captain of the Uzbekistan national team, who joined Istanbul Başakşehir on loan from AS Roma. That deal includes a purchase option, and the Turkish club has expressed long-term interest in retaining the striker.
