A theater from St. Petersburg presented performances for adults and children in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent is increasingly becoming a center of culture. Thus, on 15-17 September, the performances of the St. Petersburg theater “Baltic House” were presented on the stage of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan.

First of all, the children’s play “The Adventures of Mother Mu and Her Friends” was presented in Tashkent. An easy and understandable performance speaks the same language to children, showing the friendship of such different characters, united by the main thing - they are interesting to each other. The level of skill of the actors was evidenced, first of all, by the lively reaction of the children’s audience. It is impossible to deceive a viewer like a child. And if he is not bored at the performance, if he laughs and is sad along with the characters, then you can be sure that a future theater fan is growing.

For the adult audience, the “Baltic House” presented its discoveries by presenting the performances “Belugin’s Marriages” and “What Men & Women Talk About.”

The latest performance, a comedy based on Yasmina Reza’s play “God of Carnage,” tells about a meeting between two families, which develops into a showdown within each of them. The liveliness and frankness of the dialogues, which are skillfully conveyed by the actors of the St. Petersburg theater, makes the viewer forget that this is a performance and vividly empathize with the rapid development of events.

“What Men & Women Talk About” is a play about how much each person carries within himself and how differently it can manifest itself. About how many ups and downs relationships between close people can go through during one dialogue. What will happen in the end depends on many circumstances, including quite unexpectedly - from a collision with people whose existence you simply did not know just yesterday.

The performance, which was wonderfully received in Tashkent, is widely known throughout the world. The play received the prestigious Laurence Olivier theater award and was successfully performed on Broadway, on the stages of Paris, London, and Zurich.

The tour of the theater-festival “Baltic House” gave a good start to the new theater season in Tashkent, enriching it with the excellent level of its performances and giving the anticipation of new discoveries.
