Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A special industrial zone, “Nurabad Technopark,” is being created in Samarkand Region. The relevant Presidential Resolution (PQ–243 dated 4 August 2025) is aimed at improving the investment climate and achieving the industrial development targets set for Nurabad District for the period 2025–2030.

The document envisions attracting US$1.1 billion in direct foreign investment for the implementation of projects focused on the production of high‑tech and competitive products. As part of the program, 5,100 permanent jobs are expected to be created.

For the construction of the future technopark, a land plot of 115.3 hectares in the Sazagon area will be allocated, withdrawn from the territory of the Urgut Free Economic Zone.

Management of the new industrial zone has been entrusted to the foreign limited liability company New Vision Investment Development. Among its immediate priorities is the construction of modern production facilities with three to four floors.
