Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 18 November, a ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan to award Mukhira Ergasheva, the winner of the "2024 Quiz on Korea."

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan, Won Do Yeon, presented Mukhira with a certificate on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and congratulated her on her victory, noting the high interest and affection of the Uzbek people for Korea.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea expressed hope for further victories by representatives of Uzbekistan, based on the strong cooperation between the two countries.

The final of the quiz, dedicated to the "Day of the Creation of the National Korean Alphabet Hangul," was broadcast on October 9 on the Korean TV channel KBS1 TV. Mukhira Ergasheva outperformed 19 other finalists from various countries. To participate in the final, she passed the qualifying round in Uzbekistan in April, competing against a hundred candidates.

The "Quiz on Korea" has been organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the KBS broadcasting company since 2012. Uzbekistan has already won in 2012, 2019, and 2022, and this current victory marks the fourth for the country. This success confirms the high level of mutual understanding and friendly relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
