Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Parliamentary Commission for Support of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan named the project of the year.

The project "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world" was named as the project of the year.

This became known during the media festival "Ozod yurt tulkinlari" ("Waves of a free country"), which took place yesterday in Tashkent.

- There are no analogues to the project “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world”. In 2018, the project carried out tremendous work, and next year we face many challenges. A Road Map is being prepared, which will be announced shortly,” Edward Rtveladze, project supervisor, said.

- The initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to preserve our cultural heritage today has found the support of three hundred world scientists who have united in the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Promotion of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan. And we thank those who supported us during this year,” Firdavs Abdukhalikov, chairman of the board of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Promotion of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, said.

Along with this, Uzreport won the Best TV Channel nomination at the media festival, Nukus Fm became the best radio station, and the Democratic Debate talk show was the best media product dedicated to the election campaign in Uzbekistan.

The Ozod Yurt Tulkinlari Media Festival (Waves of a Free Country) is being held in Tashkent for the 12th time. It is organized by the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Parliamentary Commission to support non-governmental non-profit organizations and other civil society institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
