Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A memorandum was signed on the development of medical tourism in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Sport and Tourosm of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

In the memorandum, it is envisaged:

Organization of events to promote the potential of medical tourism in leading medical institutions of the country in neighboring countries, as well as cooperation with business entities in the field of tourism.

Conducting conferences, scientific events and training seminars in cooperation with the largest public and private medical institutions in the country.

Acquaintance with the activities of the country's main medical institutions, the medical services they provide through the organization of info-tours and meetings to familiarize tour operators and the media in neighboring countries, as well as the organization of the International Forum of Medical Tourism of Uzbekistan, exhibitions and international events.

Also, to attract foreign tourists (patients and accompanying persons) in the field of medical tourism, measures have been identified to establish hospitalization services and the introduction of an additional (non-electronic) entry visa with the required scanning function “Medical Visa”.
