A meeting with members of the club of future prosecutors takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 June, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the staff of the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office with members of the future prosecutors’ club.

The club of future prosecutors was created within the framework of the Memorandum signed between the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent State Law University, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, and provides students of these universities with an opportunity to do internships in the prosecution authorities during the entire period of study. Currently, 266 students are members of the Club.

During the meeting, the members of the Club of future prosecutors were informed about the procedure for admission to the graduate courses of the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The admission of applicants to the graduate courses of the Academy begins with the 2019/2020 academic year and will be carried out on the basis of the principle of equality, as well as uniform rules for admission and selection. The competition for graduate courses is held among persons with higher legal education in the field of "jurisprudence". Also, the competition may be attended by existing employees of the prosecution authorities who have a higher education in other specialties with at least 5 years of work experience in the prosecution authorities.

For the specialties of the graduate courses of the Academy "prosecutorial activity", "investigative activity" and "anti-corruption" for the 2019/2020 academic year, 30 people received admission quotas, including 18 under state grants and 12 on a fee-and-contract basis.

Entrance exams will be held in the form of testing in special subjects and foreign languages, as well as a written exam.

The process of training in the specialties of the graduate courses at the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office will be carried out using the most effective modern pedagogical teaching technologies successfully introduced based on the results of studying advanced international experience.

To date, the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office has established partnerships with more than 30 leading foreign educational and research institutions. Along with the faculty of the Academy, experts and teachers of foreign educational institutions are actively involved in the educational process.
