Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekitan with a delegation led by Tan Chunlin, Director General of the Bureau of Banking Inspection under the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC).
The sides discussed a wide range of issues, including the organization and methods of bank inspections, as well as the problems of regulating the activities of financial institutions.
The members of the delegation were provided with detailed information on the reforms carried out in the banking sector and the improvement of the activities of the departments of the Central Bank that deal with issues of banking regulation and supervision.
Head of the Chinese delegation Tan Chunlin:
“I want to express my gratitude for the warm welcome and especially note that the recent summit of China and the countries of Central Asia has become another impetus for the transition of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and China to a new level, including in the banking and financial sector. The purpose of our visit is to exchange experience in the field of banking supervision and get acquainted with projects in the regions that are financed by the Exim Bank of China (CEXIM).”
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for cooperation in improving banking supervision.
