Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of management with representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Uzbekistan was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

According to the regulator’s press service, during the dialogue joint projects implemented with the business community, financial organizations and commercial banks were discussed.

UNDP representatives emphasized that they see great potential in the financial sector of Uzbekistan for “green financing” and proposed to expand the areas of joint projects with the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, it was also decided to establish a procedure for allocating subsidies for “green loans” for houses under construction and to implement a project to support the development of energy-efficient rural residential buildings in Uzbekistan through the expansion of renewable energy sources (solar panels).
