Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the night of 8 April, a man who was taken to a sobering center committed suicide in Chartak district of Namangan region. This was reported by the press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov.
The 44-year-old man was taken to a medical facility on 7 April. His wife found him on the ground near a multi-story building in a state of severe intoxication and called the local police officer.
The prosecutor’s office began conducting a pre-investigation check. The Office of the Ombudsman of Uzbekistan reported that it is studying this situation.
