Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Negotiations were held between the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the State Agency for Tourism Development under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in video conferencing mode.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Private Travel Organizations of Uzbekistan and the Ukrainian airline “SkyUp Airlines”.

The parties discussed and exchanged experiences on mitigating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry, and also discussed plans for priority measures to resume international tourist travel.

In particular, the Committee provided detailed information on the new system of sanitary and epidemiological safety of tourism - “Uzbekistan. Safe travel GUARANTEED ", and about new tourist sites and promising routes for the Ukrainian market.

Also, representatives of SkyUp Airlines spoke about their plans to launch regular flights between Tashkent and Kiev with a gradual increase in the number of flights between the regions of the two countries.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to develop a joint action program aimed at restoring the tourist flow and promoting tourism products between Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
