Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to increase the love of the younger generation for the history and national and cultural heritage of our peoples, to promote cooperation in the field of tourism with member states of the Organization of Turkic-Speaking States, to increase the socio-economic activity of young people, to involve them in the field tourism, the implementation of promising ideas and projects of youth in the field of tourism, from 11 to 15 July 2023, the "International Festival of Turkic-Speaking Youth" will be held in Fergana region.

On 11 July, in the building of Qoqand University, located in the city of Qoqand, the official opening ceremony of this event was held.

It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Fergana region and the Khokimiyat of the city of Qoqand, youth from the member countries of the international organization of Turkic culture (TURKSOY), as well as representatives of foreign and local media.

“On the initiative of the President of our country, it was decided to hold this festival among the youth of Turkic-speaking countries every two years. Thanks to this, we have focused on discussing various ideas among young people, on implementing interesting projects and, most importantly, on strengthening friendly ties between them. I believe that such events will serve as an inextricable bridge between the youth of the fraternal peoples,” said Zarrina Abdullayeva, head of a department at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Within the framework of the festival, a reading day, sports competitions in national and ethnosports sports, cultural and entertainment events, round tables on organizing business for young people, making handicrafts, creative dialogues with young people from famous theater and film producers, meetings of festival participants with consuls of our embassies countries will be held.

“During our events, held in the spirit of open dialogue, our youth, in cooperation with peers from brotherly countries, exchange ideas and projects that are important for their future activities. We create an opportunity for this by organizing meetings in the B2B format and inviting business entities,” said Deputy Khokim of Ferghana region Khurshid Akhmedov.

More than 70 young people from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan take part in the festival. Within the framework of the festival, on the basis of the program, a number of competitions, competitions, presentations, meetings, promotions, projects and events are organized daily, and active participants in these events are awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.

The "International Festival of Turkic-Speaking Youth" is planned to be held in July, starting from 2023, once every two years.
