Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the Grand Fashion Week season, the La Galerie Bourbon gallery in Paris hosted a show of designers from Uzbekistan, who presented the current collections of the season. The event became possible thanks to the support of Visa and JSCB "Kapitalbank".

The brands ANOR, Moel Bosh, 7Saber, Cherrymyx, Nadi.uz and Shahzoda Mukhammedov took part in the shows. In addition to the mastodons of the Uzbek fashion industry, a new collection was presented by a young fashion designer Sevinch Normamatova, the winner of the competition for young designers Commence. In the breaks between shows, the famous Uzbek dancer Parizoda performed with a national dance.

“Through the images of the collection, the national elements of Uzbekistan run like a red thread, symbolizing the originality and aesthetics of our oriental culture. We will introduce the public to new ethnic fabrics such as adras and shoi, as well as the technique of kashta and zarduzi,” says Grand Fashion Week organizer Dilnoza Umurzakova.

“Grand Fashion Week demonstrated the power of fashion as a universal language of communication between people of different cultures. It is gratifying to see how talented Uzbek designers “carry” cultural traditions with the aesthetics of modern fashion into the world. In my opinion, this contributes to a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of Uzbekistan,” shares Maria Tillyaeva, one of the largest influencers in Uzbekistan.

“In this project, two important ideas for us were embodied at once: the desire to create something new, whether it be collections or brand development. The second is the desire to share the unique culture of the Uzbek people with the whole world, which is embodied in the collections. We are happy to support the project, thanks to which today the whole fashion world is talking about talents from Uzbekistan,” says Kirill Mayevsky, Chairman of the Board of JSCB “Kapitalbank”.

Gallery La Galerie Bourbon, located in the historic center of Paris, is the former residence of the royal family of Spain and the venue for the events of many fashion houses in Paris. One of the leading beauty teams, Davide and Jacob, is working on the show. They are longtime partners of Paris and Milan fashion weeks and have a portfolio of works with world brands, film festivals and celebrities.
