Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In order to improve the corporate governance system in banks, the Central Bank developed a draft “Regulation on Corporate Governance in Commercial Banks” and published on the portal www.regulation.gov.uz.
This document covers the issues necessary to improve the transparency and efficiency of the management decision-making process in banks.
And also, the draft regulation defines the powers and tasks of the bank’s governing bodies, including the supervisory board, its committees and the bank’s board, the necessary measures to prevent conflicts of interest in banks, ensuring disclosure of information and transparency, introducing employees ethical rules in banks, as well as systems of notification of unfair behavior.
