Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 May, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Acting Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan A. Akkulov took part in the 64th meeting of the UNWTO Regional Commission for Europe, which takes place in Zagreb , Croatia. Reported by the Press Service of the State Committee of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the members of the Regional Commission discussed the priority directions of development of the tourism sector and activities for inclusion in the UNWTO Program of Work for 2020-2021, which will be approved at the upcoming meeting of the General Assembly of the Organization.

In turn, the delegation of Uzbekistan presented a proposal to hold the 65th anniversary meeting of the UNWTO European Commission (CEU) in 2020, as well as a number of other events of the Organization of international level in Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek delegation also participated in the process of electing representatives to the statutory and subsidiary bodies of the UNWTO.
