A Chinese love story to be shown on the big screen in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The premiere of the film “The Flower of Kashgar” will take place on 5 January at the capital’s Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace.

The film tells the story of a love that overcomes circumstances, everyday obstacles and differences. The bright feeling that originated in Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities in southeast China, will ignite with renewed vigor in Kashgar, a city in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, the pearl of the Silk Road in the northwest of the country.

The two cities are separated by over 5,000 kilometers. However, no distance will prevent loving hearts from getting closer.

In Shenzhen, a girl from Kashgar, Yuan Xue, meets teacher Liang Peng. Here love arose between them. However, the young couple at that moment failed to realize the depth of feelings for each other. The heroine of the film returned to her hometown.

It took Liang Peng six years to understand how much he loved the kind and beautiful Yuan Xue. Driven by a feeling coming from the depths of his heart, he decides to fly to Kashgar. In order to return his beloved, despite the objections of his family.

While worrying about whether Liang Peng’s romantic voyage will be crowned with success, the audience will travel with him through the ancient and eternally youthful Kashgar. Its color, charm and modern development will be the perfect backdrop for the twists and turns of a true love story.

The film vividly reflects the architecture, historical monuments, landscapes and cuisine of Xinjiang, the culture of the region and the life of its people, and shows the friendship of peoples in modern China. The painting “Flower of Kashgar” has been dubbed into Uzbek.

The screening of the film in Tashkent is organized by the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, the Chinese Film Channel Program Center with the active support of the Press Service of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China and the Xinjiang branch of the Chinese News Service.
