Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy Abat Faizullayev met with the General Director of the Italian Association of Livestock Breeders (AIA) Mauro Donda and the President of the Italian National Association of Rabbit Breeding (ANCI) Sergio Pompa.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the activities of the largest rabbit breeding complex built in the Tashkent region using Italian technologies, Dunyo agency reports.
The complex is capable of producing 2 million rabbits, 2 thousand tons of rabbit meat and 80 thousand tons of rabbit feed per year. The processes are waste-free and natural fertilizers are also produced.
The complex received genetic material and breeding rabbits of the highest quality from Italy, which made it possible to reproduce a purebred generation of rabbits.
Experts from Italy monitor processes and give online recommendations on animal health, feed composition and medications.
The company successfully exports rabbit meat to neighboring markets and is negotiating with new potential importing countries.
