3.5 Million Uzbekistan Citizens Traveled Abroad in Six Months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first half of 2025, the number of Uzbek citizens traveling abroad for tourism reached 3.5 million, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
The figure increased by 810,000 people, or 29.7 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Most trips were made to neighboring countries. A total of 1,527,303 citizens traveled to the Kyrgyz Republic, 664,669 to Kazakhstan, and 631,660 to Tajikistan.
A significant number of trips were also recorded to Russia (230,412 people) and Saudi Arabia (145,294), with the latter primarily for pilgrimage purposes.
Other popular tourist destinations included Türkiye (102,000), the United Arab Emirates (72,729), Egypt (30,959), Thailand (16,671), and Vietnam (16,179). In addition, 102,622 citizens traveled to other countries during this period.
