Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 6 to 8 September, 23 individuals in Tashkent sought medical assistance with symptoms of food poisoning, according to the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health.
The incident occurred in the Yunusabad district.
Of the total number of affected individuals, 22 were hospitalized at the Scientific-Practical Medical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, while one was admitted to the 4th City Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Preliminary investigations revealed that all the affected individuals had visited the Muhteshem Doner cafe on September 5, where they consumed various dishes.
As of 12 September, 13 patients have been discharged, while the remaining 10 continue to receive inpatient treatment. All patients are reported to be in satisfactory condition.
The Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee has temporarily suspended the operation of Muhteshem Doner, and specialists have taken food samples for laboratory analysis.
