Khokim of Tashkent city meets with the delegation headed by the Akim of the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The friendly relations of Uzbekistan, in particular, Tashkent with the Turkestan region, have a long history. Trade and economic relations have been developing especially for a long time. Today's meeting is aimed at bringing cooperation to a new level and expanding ties.
The khokim of Tashkent city Jahongir Artikkhodjaev, speaking about the development and expansion of cooperation between the two regions, noted that many joint mutually beneficial projects can be implemented in the field of industry, tourism and healthcare.
In particular, he noted that the construction and commissioning of a railway line between the Turkestan region and the city of Tashkent will create an opportunity to offer tourists tours along the route Turkestan-Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Khiva and that, in general, there is a very significant potential for the development of tourism with both sides.
Akim of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev noted that Tashkent is developing and becoming more beautiful and better from year to year, that one of the great achievements of the city is the construction of new buildings, parks, alleys and the growth of production capacities. He also said that in the Turkestan region, as in the capital of Uzbekistan, there is a need for the construction of massifs with a unique design and modern living conditions, the organization of parks and the implementation of joint industrial projects.
In particular, he offered to open a plant for the production of gas stoves in the Turkestan region, saying that he is aimed at cooperation with Artel in this direction and there are all conditions for this. He also said that he was ready to meet with specialists with the aim of borrowing their experience and creating a beautiful garden in the Turkestan region based on the pattern of landscaping, parks and alleys in Tashkent.
All areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail at the meeting. Also, the heads of the regions said that the exchange of visits will continue to expand cooperation.
