Issues of expanding the export of Uzbek textile products to Malaysia discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 October, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, in order to expand the export supplies of Uzbek textile products to the Malaysian market, organized negotiations via video communication with the director of the Malaysian company CSW Marketing Richard Chi. This was reported by the press service of the Uztekstilprom Association.
Representatives of the Agency for Marketing and Advertising of Textile Products under the Uztekstilprom Association and 10 private domestic exporting companies of textile products took part in the negotiations from the Uzbek side.
Founded in 1990, CSW Marketing trades high quality textile products, including linens and finished products. The company has experience in this area in all countries of Southeast Asia and China. The company also supplies textile fabrics for the production needs of industrial enterprises.
During the event, a presentation was made on the export potential of the textile industry of Uzbekistan, support for manufacturers and experience of cooperation with foreign partners, including during a pandemic. It also provides information on the modern production facilities created in the republic using the latest technologies for the production of high-quality finished products.
CSW Marketing Director Richard Chi highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in the republic aimed at increasing the share of finished garments in the export of light industry products and the cluster approach of cotton and textile production with the introduction of water-saving and energy-efficient technologies.
The Malaysian side expressed its readiness to establish cooperation with Uzbek enterprises-exporters of textile products to organize the export of their products under the brands "Uztextile" and "Made in Uzbekistan" to Malaysia, as well as further promote these products to the markets of other countries of Southeast Asia.
As a result of the event, an agreement was reached on the direction by the above agency of commercial proposals for the supply of textile products to Malaysia to consider the possibility of signing export contracts.
