On Saturday, the Uzbeks play Japan while Qatar go up against Australia in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Both teams have never beaten their more illustrious rivals. A win on that day will not only be their first ever over their opponents but also keep alive their FIFA World Cup hopes.
The two teams are currently on four points from six games in Group A.
Uzbekistan and Japan came face to face six times, including thrice in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Central Asians lost four and drew two games, both FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In these six games, Uzbekistan conceded 21 and netted six goals.
Qatar, however, have had no luck against the Socceroos, losing all the three matches played so far.
The two teams met in the third round of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers but Australia won both the legs easily.
The team from Down Under then handed Qatar a severe thrashing in Brisbane in the first leg of the final round.
