Some 224 state objects sold to private sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan realized 224 state objects for 60.54 billion soums (including 151 on zero redemption price) to private sector in nine months of 2014, the press service of the State Competition Committee said.
The buyers of the objects undertook investment liabilities for 146.6 billion soums and US$450,000. They should also create about 4,200 new jobs.
Currently, the state offers 788 state objects (including 149 on zero redemption price) for sale. About 286 of them were put for sale in the third quarter.
In the reporting period, about 23,000 premises were rented to businesses, which allowed to create 43,200 jobs. About 48.3 billion soums were received from renting the state objects.
